Leadership
Reid Porter is the President and founder of ACT.
He received his B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2002. Prior to founding ACT, he represented clients involved in many areas of civil litigation.
Reid began crossing the Hampton bridge into West Dallas in 2004 when he signed up to mentor a 4th grade boy through the West Dallas ministry, Mercy Street. Since that time, love for West Dallas and its citizens has held a very special place in Reid’s heart.
After researching the injustices of the inner city and meeting with community leaders in Dallas, Reid became aware of an oppressive force in the community created by property owners allowing crime and blight on their properties. In December 2008, the Lord opened the door for Reid to transition from private practice into his current role as President of ACT.
